In a unique online survey by MarketTools, Inc for Match.com, 5,481 single individuals were asked which qualities were critical, and which were “deal-breakers” when considering a potential partner. Based on the results, 71percent of women and 58 percent of men judged healthy, white teeth as an important factor. More important than great hair, designer clothing or the type of car a person drives!
To many people, white smiles not only rate a higher level of attractiveness but can be a tip-off about an individual’s own personal oral hygiene. Stained or yellow teeth coupled with bad breath can do more than just determine if a person has marriage potential.

For instance the “The Impact of Whiter Teeth on Key First Impressions” study commissioned by Crest shows that a whiter smile greatly affects what others believe about a person within the first ten seconds of meeting them.
This comprehensive study, which included simulated job interviews, indicated that more than half, or 58 percent, of the voluntary subjects were more likely to be hired after having their teeth whitened.
